Hello all!

I am informing you all to let you know that BrickJournal, the online magazine (eventually to be in printed format) now has a European bureau and is run by me

I am Mel, living in North Germany; I have been an AFOL for many years. I love to build and collect LEGO and my favourite themes/things are town and related themes (train, monorail etc), promos, collecting coloured parts and wonderful LEGO accessories (food, special and rare parts etc) LEGO gear and attending events. I moved to Germany in Oct 2005 from Australia, I have been to many events and I am full of ideas and lots of excitement .

My role as the correspondent/bureau for Europe is to write articles or find others to write articles for me/BJ in which I will pass on to Joe from BJ. It is important that any information regarding Europe and BJ comes through to me, so as to not double up on similar ideas or articles. It is not very professional when one person is asked twice by 2 people to do an article, therefore I require any ideas and information comes through to the bureau first.

It is very exciting for Europe to be noticed in a large publication which has a great future ahead of it. So if there are any meetings, events, awesome builders, models, or stories to share and tell please pass them my way, of course all credit will be due to those who are involved. I do have a lot of ideas to put forward over the year, but would love to hear some from you too!  I will attend a few of the events that will occur over the year, however I am not able to attend all, therefore this is where I need your help! Due to many different European languages, it is very hard to know what is happening within clubs and events in your areas, so please pass any details on to me. All information is welcome (just not spam, thanks ).

Over time I will contact some of you personally depending on what theme or articles are required from BJ and me. My goal is to put Europe out in front as many things happen within Europe and many of us miss them, mainly also due to the language barrier and little media coverage and since we are aiming at an international audience, we want the world to see what wonderful things Europe has to offer!

Isto é uma informação para dar a conhecer que o BrickJournal, a revista online (que eventualmente virá a ser impressa) agora tem uma filial europeia e é dirigida por mim [Mel]

Sou a Mel e vivo no Norte da Alemanha; Sou uma AFOL há muitos anos. Adoro construir e coleccionar LEGO e os meus temas/interesses favoritos são cidade e temas relacionados (comboio, monocarril, etc), sets promocionais, coleccionismo de peças coloridas e acessórios LEGO raros (comida, peças raras e especiais, etc), LEGO gear e participação em eventos. Mudei-me para a Alemanha em 2005 da Austrália, já estive em vários eventos e estou cheia de ideias e excitação.

O meu papel como correspondente/filial europeia é escrever artigos ou encontrar outros que os enviem para mim/BJ, caso em que os irei passar adiante para o Joe do BJ. É importante que toda a informação sobre a Europa e o BJ passe por mim, para não duplicar ideias ou artigos semelhantes. Não é muito profissional ter duas pessoas a pedir o mesmo artigo a uma terceira, portanto peço que remetam todas as ideias para a filial europeia em primeiro lugar.

É muito excitante para a Europa ser notada numa tão grande publicação, aqual tem um grande futuro pela frente. Portanto, se houver encontros, eventos, construtores excepcionais, modelos ou histórias para partilhar, por favor mandem-mas, e concerteza todo o crédito será atribuído aos envolvidos. Já tenho bastantes boas ideias para abordar durante o ano, mas pretendo conhecer as vossas também! Irei participar em alguns dos eventos durante o ano, porém não todos, e é aí que preciso da vossa ajuda! Devido às muitas línguas europeias, é difícil saber o que se está a passar nos clubes e os eventos locais, portanto passem-me os detalhes. Toda a informação é bem vinda (excepto SPAM - obrigado ).

Ao longo do tempo irei contactar alguns de vós pessoalmente, dependendo de qyue temas ou artigos são requeridos pelo BJ e por mim. O meu objectivo é pôr a Europa e o que nela se passa na linha da frente para evitar que muitos nem tenham conhecimento, principalmente pela barreira linguística e escasses de cobertura mediática. E como estamos a apontar para um público internacional, queremos que o mundo veja o que a Europa tem para oferecer!
