Hi!
Here's my creation for a Forbiden Cove Castaway Contest:
(https://comunidade0937.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffarm4.static.flickr.com%2F3220%2F2895275991_c562d0827f_d.jpg&hash=7b855efc1d27c764175a493977960b2374714708) (http://flickr.com/photos/hippotam/sets/72157607553606324/)
Gallery: Flickr (http://flickr.com/photos/hippotam/sets/72157607553606324/), Brickshelf (when moderated) (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=344693)
There are a lot of limitations set by contests organizers:
- only 1 minifig
- up to 8 animals (can you find them all)
- 32x32 with the stud-up base (I had to build one ant put below my original SNOT base)
So, actually this is a larger vignette. At first, I thought about a castaway that is a "handyman" and can built everything from a rope and wood (like shark killing machine). But to realize my ideas I needed to cut the flex tubes, which is prohibited in this contest. So i decided the volcano (build originally so my castaway could have a barbecue on top of it) should explode to add some action.
I was surprised how hard was to photograph this. A lot of shadows are created by the sailroof and palm leaves. I ended up with three lamp setup:

I hope you like it.
Every detail is fantastic :)
Love it.

The water transition efect is also very good! Best of luck for the contest!

I like the messy ambient!
Good luck!
PS: I've found the 8 animals, they are not that hidden...

I edit it in a graphics program. I can post a "raw" photo if you like.

Or drawers to keep the bricks in.... :-)
About the editing technique: just some levels adjustment to get the lighter background and magic wand to cut it and replace with my favorite white.
Awsomwe , great work that you have.
I love it :o :o

amazing work!
the castaway is a genius. with the trap and all...
as a side note, my geology teacher would beat you up for making the volcano spew lava and boulders at the same time ;D
Fantastic work Marcin! I think that you didn't forget anything.. :D
I loved the trap with the cannon :-)d
It's perfect Hippotam, thank you for another brilliant MOC! :-)d
Oh, and I loved the "before and after" shots. It's shows what a good photo setup can do for the presentation.
Bem, é a minha vez de o destacar ;D
