After the success of the 1st edition, Tomar will receive again, next June, the biggest exhibition of original constructions made of LEGO® bricks!

During little more than a day in June 2008, the City of Tomar and the 0937 Community with the support of the LEGO brand organized the first TOMARLEGO, visited by about ten thousand people in that short period.
A year later, the initiative's success will be largely overcome with the second edition to be held between the 11th and 14th of June, using the mini-vacation that includes two consecutive holidays and the week-end.
Also the space will be substantially expanded, moving from the gym of the Municipal City Hall to take over the gym and the sports pavilion. Besides the expectation of a large number of visitors, there are numbers to be taken into account for this increase in available area, now about 1,200 square meters: there was never an exhibition with such a large number of LEGO bricks in Portugal, which should total about two million!
And just look at what will be one of the real monuments present: one of the largest gothic cathedrals in the world built from LEGO bricks, built with some modest 80 thousand pieces!
This event will also be filled with fun activities and prizes to be won by the visitors.
More than enough reasons to expect that Tomar will become in June the most entertaining of cities, coveted by children who remain, half a century later, passionate for the little bricks made of colored plastic that can reinvent the world, but also by adults, whose fascination by this toy led to the creation of AFOL communities (Adult Fans of Lego), such as the 0937 Community, the largest in the country, co-organizer of this event.
TOMARLEGO also has the official support from the brand, the Royal Embassy of Denmark in Portugal and CP, a Portuguese train operator, which gives 20% discount on go-and-return trips to Tomar (in regional trains) between 11th and 14th of June, also offering the tickets to enter the event.
